Aftermarket Forum 2018
Alternative drives and their impact on the Automotive Aftermarket Supply Chain
Services, spare parts, oils and many other products are the pillars of today’s automotive aftermarket. The increased introduction of vehicles with alternative drive technology results to the fact that some of these products thus lose the future of market volume and revenue opportunities for market participants.
Do vehicles driven by electric, hydrogen, or hybrid engines lead to higher spare parts prices, but sinking sales volumes and if so how do market participants adapt to these changes?
Which new business models and change processes are emerging for established players in the supply chain?
Which impact will have new entrants, such as manufacturers of electric motors, battery manufacturers, car sharing providers, software vendors etc. on the supply chain?
Participate in this forum, which focuses exclusively on the future automotive aftermarket, to discuss these and many other questions with numerous expert colleagues from across Europe and through research contributions.
High-caliber executives from the complete supply chain are invited to speak. Car manufacturers, parts manufacturers, parts wholesalers, fleet companies, online providers of mobility services, software companies, professors, journalists and, last but not least, some renowned workshops will present their views on the following questions:
- Which impact will predictive maintenance have on the automotive aftermarket in the future?
- How does daily work in workshops change with alternative drive systems and where are the biggest challenges?
- Which developments or changes are to be expected in the aftersales parts business of an automobile manufacturer and how does he anticipate this?
- How does a parts manufacturer counter the changes caused by alternative drive systems when its core products lose importance in vehicle production?
- What challenges has a parts manufacturer to face, whose components will have a greater demand in the coming years?
- Alternative drives lead to assortment changes and what are the consequences for a parts wholesaler and his business model?
- Hydrogen, electromobility, hybrids and other forms of drive lead to changed repair processes. How do fleet companies face these new challenges?
- Will the consolidation process concerning parts manufacturers, distributors, online retailers, garages and car dealers be accelerated by the changes?
- Which product and service areas will be positively or negatively influenced by the process of change?
- To which changes does the increasing mobility optimization lead, e.g. the increased use of car sharing in the automotive aftermarket?
We offer the opportunity to discuss critical participant questions in a podium discussion with experts from the automotive aftermarket.
Another panel discussion with different workshops will give you an insight into their experiences with alternative drives. What are the challenges and problems faced by the workshops and what are the solutions?
A Come-Together on the 16.04.2018 from 17:00 pm offers plenty of time for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
