Speakers of the Aftermarket Forum 2024
From Iceland to Russia and Turkey. From Norway to Portugal and Malta. This is Europe – home to the world’s leading single market, parts manufacturers, parts distributors, international trading groups and of course vehicle manufacturers.
Mr. Nikolic will report on interesting developments as well as future trends on the “old continent”.
Asia has more to offer than China, Korea and Japan – Mr Ramanathan brings you 30 years of experience in the automotive industry in Malaysia, the UK and the ASEAN region. During this time, Mr. Ramanathan worked with global brands, distributors, franchises and aftermarket service providers, specializing in after-sales across the entire value chain, including import, distribution and retail.
When you think “global,” China comes to mind. After all, it is the largest emerging automotive market in the world. Aftermarket Forum guests can see it through the eyes of Mike Yu, a manager with experience working for local and international companies operating in China and Asia, such as Continental, Borg Warner and ZF. Mr. Yu is currently a strategic advisor of Nexus Automotive and general manager of iRM eCommerce based in Shanghai.
How many independent aftermarket participants in Europe are thinking about South America? It is a large and diverse continent with unique solutions such as flexible fuel vehicles. Marcelo Gabriel will be our guide for this region. Previously, Mr. Gabriel served as South America Aftermarket Director for Meritor and Federal-Mogul, responsible for P&L.
India is on track to become the world’s most populous country, replacing China at the top, and yet the automotive industry is primarily focused on the Chinese market and not India. Which local opportunities need to be exploited and which challenges need to be overcome? The Aftermarket Forum’s guide for this region is Dirk Schlage, based in New Delhi, India. With 27 years of automotive experience, Mr. Schlage chose India as his next career opportunity in 2014. Let’s leverage his knowledge of local specificity.
Almost whole Mr. Zander’s professional career is related to Africa. Back in 2001 he as already head of Abuja (Nigeria) office of MAN Forrestal. As Sales Manager of Wincor Nixdorf he held P&L responsibility for whole Sub-Saharan Africa. Today Mr. Zander leads Africon, focusing on bridging the gap between African business opportunities and global companies wanting to tap into possibilities available in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Since 2006, Autostat has been the leading analytical agency in the automotive business in Russia, of which Mr. Udalov has been the managing director and co-owner since the beginning. He is a trained mechanical engineer, has worked at the AvtoVAZ research and development center, has been responsible for the automotive publishing business for several years and is a speaker at specialist conferences in Russia.
An automotive growth expert with a proven track record in the commercial vehicle aftermarket. Led the marketing, product marketing, business development and sales organizations in EMEA. After working in over 35 countries around the world, he generated over 1 billion euros in additional sales for aftermarket organizations. Roberto Dal Corso is currently a member of the board of directors of NBC Global AG, based in Zug, Switzerland.
Are there business opportunities in the Middle East and how to manage the huge differences in business culture? Ralf Zimmermann will answer these and many other questions based on his more than 6 years of experience at the Al-Futtaim Group in Dubai. Before that, Mr. Zimmermann spent almost a quarter of a century at Toyota in Germany and other European countries.
