TEMOT International has improved its positioning in Portugal. Effective January 1, 2020, the international trading group won A. Vieira, S.A., FIMAG and AleCarPeças – Acessórios De Automóveis, Lda. as shareholder.

A. Vieira, S.A. specialises in spare parts for passenger cars. Its sales area covers the entire country. The company was founded 1974 and is owned by the families of José Branco, who assumed the management of the firm in 1978, and António Anjo, who joined him four years later.

Throughout its history, A. Vieira, S.A. has been constantly growing. Today, it belongs to the leading Aftermarket players in Portugal. It employs 60 people and runs seven sites: Two central warehouses in Guimarães and Porto/Rio Tinto, three retails stores in Guimarães, Porto and Leça da Palmeira, and two associated retail stores in Vila das Aves and Vizela.

FIMAG, an employer to 52 people, looks back at 35 years of company history. The family-owned and family-run importer and distributor of spare parts for passenger cars was founded by Vitor Souto in 1985 and has grown to become one of the leading Aftermarket partners for workshops throughout Portugal, including the Azores and Madeira.

Headquartered in the city of Braga in the north of the country with a central warehouse at the same site, it currently operates three additional distribution centres in the cities of Coimbra, Porto and Lisbon. The portfolio includes automotive spare parts from the most renowned international Aftermarket brands and the company’s logistics safeguard quick delivery to customers countrywide.

AleCarPeças represents a large customer base all over Portugal, including the Azores and Madeira. It employs 40 workers at its sales branch in Lisbon as well as its distribution centres in Estoril, Lisbon and Maia, Porto. Its warehouse space adds up to more than 2,000 square metres, offering sufficient resources to stock more than 35,000 stock keeping units.

The distributor can rely on the experience from 38 years of company history. It was founded in 1982 by the German entrepreneur Jochen Staedtler as a traditional family-owned business and soon specialised in the distribution of German spare parts for passenger cars, offering the most renowned Aftermarket brands to a quickly growing customer base.
