Broman Group’s net sales increased by more than eight percent last year. The number of employees rose by more than a hundred. The company opened four new Motonet department stores and launched one of the most advanced automation warehouses in the Nordic countries in Kerava. Enlargement to Sweden is progressing.

Broman Group’s financial year ended in September was a success. The family company’s net sales increased by EUR 35.4 million compared to the previous financial year and amounted to EUR 470.3 million. The result after taxes for the financial year was EUR 36.7 million and the equity ratio was 69 percent.

The cold and snowy winter boosted sales during the winter season, and growth continued to be strong in the spring and summer seasons in several product groups. Sales of yard and garden products in particular were strong throughout the year. In the automotive-related product groups, the Broman Group increased its market share, and demand for batteries, battery accessories and transportation equipment in particular increased

Investments and the development of services continue

The most significant investment during the financial year was the Kerava logistics center, where a modern automation warehouse was opened in the autumn. In addition, the company decided to build a large extension to the center and to further develop the Hyvinkää logistics center. Broman Group also started preparations to expand the Motonet chain to Sweden.

In the spring of 2021, the Broman Group opened four new Motonet department stores: in Iisalmi, Imatra and Varkaus, and another in Oulu. In addition, four new Motonet workshops were opened.
