As of June 17, Alliance Automotive Group Benelux (AAGB) will take over both Wico Autolak & Wico Coatings and AJ Coatings. Both companies will continue to operate under their current management following the acquisition. Wico, based in Cuijk, and AJ Coatings, based in De Klomp near Veenendaal, bring enormous knowledge and logistical capacity in paint/non-paint.
Rob Visser, Director Network at AAGB says: “With these two acquisitions we are boosting the national coverage for our paint/non-paint division. In addition, both AJ Coatings and Wico, as partners of our brand-recognized damage repair division Prepaire, occupy an important position. That is why I am very happy that we can take this step so quickly to put Prepaire and Paint/Non paint on the national map.”
AJ COATINGS
AJ Coatings is known as a leading supplier of car paints, industrial paints and furniture paints in the central Netherlands. The company focuses on supplying A-segment brands, which guarantees quality and reliability. Their services are aimed at providing optimal service to help customers achieve maximum returns. In 1974, the father and grandfather of the current owners started a damage workshop in Veenendaal de Klomp. Since 1996, we have gradually expanded to a wholesaler position throughout the region. With the current owners Bert Jansen and his sons Bart and Jacco Jansen, this can rightly be called a family business that attaches great importance to service and delivery to customers.
Bert Jansen, co-owner of AJ Coatings says: “In the current, rapidly changing market, a lot is changing for our customers and that also demands a lot from us. We think we can handle this much better together with a large, powerful party such as Alliance Automotive. After we started talking to Alliance, we were quickly impressed by the vision and future possibilities we have together. We will transfer together with the current team of 8 colleagues, so that we can continue to offer the same flexibility and service to our customers. We will be able to give them more added ones soon.”
WICO AUTOLAK AND WICO COATINGS
Wico has built a solid reputation in the central and southern regions of the Netherlands within the professional car damage repair and paint processing industry. The company is known for its extensive range of products, combined with innovative services to support customers. Wico’s field staff, who specialize in car damage repair and industry, play a crucial role in this. By visiting customers in the region every day, they offer expert advice on the use and processing of Wico products. With their own training center, they also ensure that their customers remain well informed and trained.
Michel Roelofs, owner of Wico explains: “Over our more than 50-year history, we have grown into a reliable regional player with 23 colleagues. At our two locations we try to support our customers on all fronts every day. In discussions with Alliance Automotive, we saw that together with such a large, strong partner, we can achieve the desired added value for our customers much better. Because our entire team is moving to the new owner, we expect only positive changes for our customers. It is clear that a lot has changed in the turbulent markets in which Wico is active. With this step we try to provide certainty to our company and our employees.”
The acquisition of both companies enables AAGB to better serve the more professional damage companies and industrial companies. This strategic acquisition is part of AAGB’s broader plan to provide a “full circle” solution for the claims industry.
