TEMOT International adds another key distributor to its international network: HIVIMAR S.A, a renowned spare parts distributor from Ecuador and one of the 300 largest companies of the country, has joined the trading group as a new shareholder, effective January 1, 2020.
Hivimar S.A is headquartered in Santiago de Guayaquil and enjoys the reputation of one of the most acclaimed spare parts distributors in its domestic market. The company supplies more than 2,500 customers and runs six sales branches in Ecuador, which serve 10,000 customers per year at the point of sale.
The firm looks back at 47 years of experience in the Automotive Aftermarket. Its founder Alfredo Ignacio Echeverria Mantilla began selling bearings and retaining rings as early as 1973, laying the groundwork for HIVIMAR S.A. To this day, the enterprise has become the largest domestic importer of power transmission products with a portfolio ranging from transmissions over suspension, steering, and brake systems to water pumps, belts, lubricants chemicals and filters. It works with many well-known international spare part brands that supply the OE as well as the IAM and stocks about 35,000 SKUs on 5,000 square metres warehousing space.
