ATU intends to close 45 branches in Germany that are not working profitably or have no sustainable prospects.

The now confirmed branch closings are not a consequence of the Corona effects. ATU will continue to have a nationwide presence with around 530 branches.

In April, the end of the chain in Switzerland became public. ATU has been on an unsafe course for years. Takeovers and constant changes in leadership characterize the company’s history.
