AutoBinck sells PartsPoint to Alliance Automotive Group

AutoBinck Group has reached agreement on the sale of PartsPoint Group to Alliance Automotive Group, the European automotive aftermarket parts business of US based Genuine Parts Company. The transaction is expected to close per 1 June 2019 and is subject to the usual terms and conditions.

Under the wings of AutoBinck, PartsPoint, a specialist in distribution and sales of automotive aftermarket parts and accessories, has developed into one of the leading players in the Dutch and Belgian market. Over the past 5 years, the turnover of the company has tripled to €300 million, as a result of both autonomous growth and acquisitions. “Given the accelerating consolidation of the European automotive aftermarket, we’re happy to see that PartsPoint will now join forces with one of the European market leaders”, according to Paul Zekhuis, CEO of AutoBinck. “We are confident that the transaction brings the necessary resources for PartsPoint to enter the next phase of growth and will be beneficial to both customers and employees”.

AutoBinck’s strategy
The sale of PartsPoint also emphasises the further development of AutoBinck’s new mobility strategy. AutoBinck is aiming to become the number one mobility services provider. Paul Zekhuis, CEO at AutoBinck Group: “this step enables us to further invest in this new direction and creates more focus on the expansion of our international mobility business”. Owning a car is no longer a given, making the best use of a car, bicycle or public transport is becoming more important. Mobility is turning into a service instead of a product. “That’s why we’re expanding our service offerings, also through the acquisition of new businesses and start-ups that focus on this development” says Zekhuis.
