Alliance Automotive Group UK has announced the completion of its acquisition of Melotrans Group Ltd, a light vehicle business based in Dublin. This marks the company’s first store acquisition in the Republic of Ireland.

The Group consists of Ballyfermot Autoparts, Finglas Auto Parts and Tallaght Auto Parts, has sales of approximately €7 million and employs 33 people. The acquisition allows Alliance Automotive Group UK to expand its presence in the Republic of Ireland, where it has been operating since 2015.

Irish Auto Parts, the parent company of Melotrans Group, was founded in 1978 and started selling car parts online in 2008. It has since grown to operate three retail motor factors in Finglas, Tallaght and Ballyfermot.

The acquisition of Melotrans Group is part of Alliance Automotive Group UK’s ongoing expansion strategy, which includes acquisitions in the UK, France and the Republic of Ireland. The company plans to continue growing its presence in the Republic of Ireland and is looking for further acquisition opportunities.

Alliance Automotive Group UK’s CEO commented on the acquisition, saying it represents a “significant milestone” for the company and that they are excited about the future growth potential in the Republic of Ireland.
