Parts supplier Alliance Automotive Group Benelux (AAGB) has acquired wholesale company Gebr. Ferwerda. The wholesaler has nine branches and, in addition to the automotive aftermarket, also serves the agricultural and shipbuilding industry.

Ferwerda is a household name in the north of the country, according to AAGB, especially in Friesland, where the family business started in 1931 in Dokkum. In the past year, the network has been expanded to Overijssel, Drenthe and Gelderland. Ferwerda was once a participant in the Fast consortium Fast (Ferwerda, APS, Staadegaard and TC). The wholesale company is the last remaining free wholesaler, the other wholesalers were already bought a few years ago by Fource (APS) and AAGB (Staadegaard, TC). It has been a year since  Jan William van Dort, former director of wholesaler Gebr. Ferwerda aged 86, passed away.

The wholesalers of AAGB, which until now had different names, will continue under the name Parts Point from January 2022.
